Opera and local business return to Creu Coberta

A new edition of Opera in Shops

Next Saturday, June 13, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, the Creu Coberta Gran Via Shopping District will once again turn its shops into small stages with a new edition of Opera in Shops, an initiative that brings together culture and local business in a unique street experience.

Throughout the afternoon, visitors can follow a lyrical route through ten shops in the shopping district, where singers will perform live opera pieces while the public strolls, discovers businesses, and enjoys the neighborhood atmosphere. The performances will be repeated periodically so that everyone can visit the different stages and enjoy the full experience.

Created in Creu Coberta more than a decade ago by the Merchants’ Association in collaboration with Òpera Jove de Catalunya, the project has become a benchmark for the city’s commercial and cultural revitalization, bringing opera to new audiences outside of conventional venues.

The activity is free and open to everyone. A perfect opportunity to stroll, shop, and be surprised by live music in the streets of Creu Coberta.
