At Poble Espanyol, Montjuïc mountain hosts one of Barcelona’s most significant gatherings of live artisan crafts.

The venue, declared an Artisan Interest Point by the Generalitat de Catalunya, brings together workshops where visitors can see glass, leather, wood, or ceramics being worked, and where anyone can take home a piece made with their own hands.

“Create Your Souvenir” Workshops

Available on weekends, these workshops are part of the visit to the venue and can be chosen at the time of entry. There are four options:

  • Ceramics — Paint your piece at Cal Terrissaire: work on a pre-fired white clay piece, ready to decorate with guided colors and techniques.
  • Trencadís Mosaic — At Júlia Rodríguez’s Vitraloi workshop: the most emblematic technique of Catalan Modernism, popularized by Antoni Gaudí, applied to a flat figure with colorful ceramic fragments.
  • Wood — Paint your toy at Fustaliss: designed especially for the little ones, where they will assemble and paint a natural wooden piece to take home.
  • Jewelry and Aromas — Design your lavender flower bracelet (Essència Natural): combines jewelry and aromatherapy in a unique piece.
